The event was held at Palácio de Tancos in the middle of Lisbon Portugal and digital artists, curators, gallerists and business people from all over the world attended.

This work is from Bård Ionson’s series Bones: Vanishing Of The Genuine, which examines how reality shifts into hyperreal simulations, challenging our perception by asking: “How do we live in a world where reality seems to be vanishing?”

Three years ago, Arab Bank Switzerland took its engagement in the digital art space a step further by creating the first on-chain digital art prize in the world, an evidence. This prize was created to elevate, awaken, and promote curiosity. Forever and always weaving new links. Between art and technology, by supporting artists who, in their own ways, disrupt the world.
Today, as we do every year in Lisbon, we are proud of gathering all of you in the Artist’s Villa. At the heart of the Villa, as always, is an exhibition composed of the artworks of the ten nominees of the Emerging Artist Category of the ABS Digital Art Prize.
Today, we are celebrating these ten outstanding artists, building the future of art: Andreas Rau, aurèce vettier, Bard lonson, Cezar Mocan, Ivona Tau, James Bloom, Kerim Safa & loackme, Leander Herzog, Marcel Schwittlick, Travis LeRoy Southworth.
Our convictions make us. We believe that on-chain digital art is not an ephemeral phenomenon, but a revolution in fact. The emergence of a significant artistic movement for history as a whole, and art history especially. We believe in a paradigm shift, in new means of transmission, in a wider access to culture.
